CHARLOTTESVILLE MAIN STREET ANNEX MAY 2014 SETLIST 1. I Don't Notice 2. Reconsider 3. Yoda ("Weird Al" Yankovic cover) NOTES • This was part of the "May the Fourth Be With You" musician showcase. All bands playing there were sci-fi related or played songs related to sci-fi. • For the event, Hunter dressed as Neo from The Matrix, wearing the jacket for the entire set and the sunglasses on the first song. Bailey dressed as a redshirt from Star Trek. Harris had originally planned on dressing like Darth Vader from Star Wars, but decided against it because he couldn't see or breathe in the helmet. • This marked the first time Hunter played guitar on "I Don't Notice," though he mostly only held it for effect and only actually played it during the "Nothing's here to see or hear" verse. • This also marked the first time Hunter played both guitar and keyboard in "Reconsider." • "Dark Matter" was originally the first song; however, due to a setlist change they removed it and added "Reconsider" as the second song. Because of this change, the announcer actually announced "Dark Matter" as the first song. • Between "Reconsider" and "Yoda," there was a giveaway for a replica of a NASA flight suit. It was resolved by a rock-paper-scissors game. The flight suit had previously been Hunter's, but he couldn't fit into it. • Hunter played accordion on "Yoda." This marked a return of the accordion ever since August 2013. |
